The main reason I wanted to take part in the #DamorePSU event was to get a sense of James Damore. I defended the memo because it was based in behavioural science and not sexist. But that didn't mean Damore wasn't sexist & I wanted to see if he was or not.

I met him and talked to him and was favourably impressed. He is kind and gentle & utterly sincere. I never met anyone who less fit the title of 'bro.' I will now defend both the memo and the character of James Damore.

I keep meeting people who claim there's "evidence" of @JamesADamore's vile misogyny and racism in other internal communications. But I kinda think that given the (unobjectionable) memo was leaked, if there really were something worse, it would have been leaked, too... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As some would say: what is claimed without evidence can be rejected without argument.

I’ve been a software engineer for 15 years. 5 in the valley. Never met a single man who could be classified as a “brogrammer”. Those two things don’t go together. It seems to be wholly made up.

Over the course of this silly culture war, I've found the more that the usual suspects spam 'techbro' or '*-bro', the less true it often is.
