However, my sampling of American pizza leads me to grudgingly conclude that British pizza is shit. Apparently, the place we are going for breakfast this morning is the most American ever & I will discover what real pancakes are.

Was it sweetened?

Good. That's by far the worst way. It's no substitute for proper tea, but I find it a useful substitute when it's hot out (It's utterly pointless in winter)
-
He's wrong, you might've actually liked it if it was sweet.

Perhaps an Arnold Palmer would be more to your liking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Palmer_(drink) … We have great debates about whether or not iced tea should be sweetened or not. "Southern style" as
@GodDoesnt said. 1/ -
There's a bakery near me that does a lovely unsweetened iced earl grey in the summer. I just add some cream. They also have a lemon ginger iced tea sweetened with honey. But agree with
@tomeclarke - pointless in winter. /end -
I drink iced tea all year long, but I live in Phoenix - we’re not sure what winter is.
