But the concept of 'shaming' gets overused here. I do not shame SAHMs by saying I couldn't be one because I'd get bored and they do not shame me by saying they couldn't go out to work because they want to be with their child all the time.

There are people who will cast moral judgement on women who stay at home and women who go to work when they have kids but I think we can generally ignore such people.

It's also useless, as some children will like their parents around constantly. Some won't. Even within families. People are all different. YOU may like this for her child, her child might not agree.

I also feel mothers are the worst critics of mothers, because they project too much. But....I'm not much of a mother-group type.
