This just isn't necessary. I went back to university when my daughter was 5. She was just fine. Kids can survive their parents having interests other than them & it's probably a good example for them. Haha. Time for tubby bye bye. Time for tubby bye bye. Full time mother works for a small minority of women. Id say most women would be content with flexible PT job and mothering most of the time.

This seems ideal, yes. That was what I had and now I work full-time but from home so it all works out.

Working full time from home is quite possibly the ideal for a mother of a school kid. You're extremely flexible and save 1-2 hours of commuting. You're very lucky. I'm trying to get Mrs Lotak to tutor. She can charge upwards of £50 / hr. Lots of rich Jews here.
