I haven't suggested they should. Some people are genuinely fulfilled by spending all their time looking after small children & doing domestic stuff. I think more probably have intellectual needs, professional ambitions, or simply a need to do something productive with adults too.
But you always wanted to be with your mum? And never got bored? Didn't want to go to nursery and play with kids your own age?

Who said I didn't play with kids my own age. Living in Cornwall, we were always at the beach. My idea of heaven then, and now
-
But you wanted your mother to always be with you?
-
I already said I stayed with grandparents. I had freedom but I always knew my mother was around for me
-
Ah, well that's different. My daughter always knew I was around and would come if she needed me too.
-
Well my 5 year old gets bored of me and my cuddles and asks for play dates with friends her age on the weekends. I work full time and my kids go to the day care.
-
They are well balanced, smart, independent, happy kids. My fulltime work has no negative impact on their well-being. So I can vouch that this choice is not bad at all.
