How do we solve the conflict between some feminists, who seek to protect the identity "woman" & women-only roles/spaces from men/transwomen, & transwomen who do not want to be seen as men, but trans women?

Simple, accept that trans women are men who really like some aspects of femininity. Get other men to accept them as valued men.

For clarity, would this include men accepting trans women/men wearing women's clothes and make-up, to the extent that maybe these men/trans women pass as women?

Yep, no problem. Insisting that everyone accepts them into women's political groups, sports, Dv shelters, prisons, or as lesbians - problem

Interesting. I think there's a problem here on enforce-ability, right? If a man/trans woman is passing as a woman, how to we then create systems that monitor who is what, biologically? ID cards? "Sex: Male Gender: Transwoman" ?

Gender is for French nouns. People have a sex. Your taste in clothes, haircut, make up body mods or off label hormones is irrelevant. >

You do not own the pronouns other people use when speaking about you. People will use the pronouns that they feel most comfortable saying.

I see your point. I personally believe this issue wouldn't be an inflammatory if our language lacked gendered pronouns. That being said, a person has a right to claim the gender that is culturally opposed to their sex, and request others respect this, though not force them to?
