If obscure French intellectuals truly ruined West, it deserved to die from the get go

They are not obscure, they are some of the most cited authors in the humanities.

When they started out, they were pretty obscure. I mean just pick up any Deleuzian book and you will find yourself in wonderland, which i myslef like, but can be a handful for any normie. Besides i bet incoming S&P bear market will have much bigger impact on West then Foucault

"When they started out, they were pretty obscure." Pol Pot was an obscure French history teacher. What obscurity has to do with anything is anyone's guess.

Are you seriously comparing Pol Pot who personally is responsible for deaths of millions of people with intellectuals that never in their life have killed anybody and are now dead and unable to ever do so? Jesus. Besides comparing postmodernism with totalitarianism is laughable

Ideas are more powerful than single men. Fascism and such, you know? Postmodernism is founded on Marxism. Other side of the spectrum. Just as deadly.

Noam Chomsky has one or two things to say about these not so brilliant intellectuals. The french intellectuals were so much in their bubble that they missed the turning of the tides and got pretty embarrassed, once they finally read The Gulag Archipelago.

Actually, most of postmodern french intellectuals are not even marxist, but rather post-marxist, which happened after they have been disillusioned with 68' event. Lyotard's book (closely tied to postmodernism) "Libidinal economy" is an attack on Marx

and even praise of capital itself. So it seems to me that you are not very well informed

My part three is going to be about why postmodernism isn't simply cultural Marxism.
