Currently being told off for not being interested enough in self-landing rockets & cars headed for Mars. 🙄 Fine, fine, I will read about it. 🙄🙄🙄

Unless you’re actually interested in technical details, reading about it might be the wrong approach. Watch the launch, look at the live feed, look at the pretty pictures. I watched it live with my 9 year old. Seeing it through his eyes was a wonder.

There's a badass sportscar with a 'starman' behind the wheel orbiting the sun. A pcb board in the car says *Made on Earth by humans*. Oh and two rockets simul-auto-landed right next to each other. This is cool as can possibly be :)

This video is one of the most wonderful things I've ever seen. Of interest to anyone who wants to master something. I show it to every student/resident I get.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ambXDKFZhN8 …

I'm not that interested in it either. It is neat, but I don't follow too closely. More interested in local technological innovation.

I'm reserving my excitement for ftl travel or a generation ship. We've been able to get to mars for some time now. Interstellar travel would be something new... Unfortunately we're probably stuck on earth, can't go fast enough to get anywhere worth colonizing. Sad :(
