I am unconvinced of the usefulness of constantly pointing out that men are stronger than women & therefore women are at a physical disadvantage if confronted by a male violent criminal.

Does anyone deny this? It's a biological fact. The strength difference is not going to go away. Laws & social norms already condemn & punish violence particularly when by men against women. I don't know what more they want.

Hmm. What about rape? That's a type of violence that's not historically heavily punished either criminally or socially.

Heh. I know that seems particularly silly to say during MeToo, but come on. We have stats about the untested rape kits and the light criminal justice penalties.

I don't expect you too. I just wanted to know what evidence there was that rape was taken less seriously than other crimes or considered more socially acceptable.
