Why? The physics of the situation won't allow us to ever have perfect information. We know almost nothing at this point in our development. We're cavemen learning to finger paint. Brain is already developing at 6 weeks.

It's important to remember that science is cumulative, even though it is always "wrong". The scientific pursuit continues to be more right with time. Consider the shape of the planet. When people argued that the world was not flat, but a sphere, they weren't right but less wrong.
