Maybe. Show me valid polling data and I'm prepared to change my mind. Until then I don't believe it.

Well, until there are some studies checking correlation of people who think abortion is wrong and people who think casual sex is wrong, I can only suggest talking to more pro-lifers from all around the world.

Never known anyone pro-life who was not deeply catholic, evangelical, orthodox Jewish, or Muslim.

I only know one religious person and she's pro-choice. I know lots of pro-lifers tho. My mother is the most vehement one. Atheist, 2nd wave feminist who lost 6 babies

Well there's the rub. If you only know 1 religious person, your sample is deeply skewed. I take your point, though. It's not that rare.

It;s hard to find seriously religious people here. It's not hard to find pro-lifers tho. This makes me think a pro-life position is not dependent on religious belief.

I bet if you scratch the surface, they're more religious then they let on.

It's really not a thing. For my mother, my cousin, several of my friends and once for me it is about thinking of embryos as babies coz we thought of our own that way. Misguided empathy. None of us raised in a religion or inclined to adopt one.

Ok. I believe you. But I think in USA it's different.

I just read that "Within the United States, 72% of the religiously unaffiliated say that "abortion should be legal in most or all cases" compared to 53% of the general public." That is a significant difference showing that religion does play a large part here.
