I have this theory that cycling is as close as a middle-class straight white guy can get to understanding Being Female. People have a reckless disregard for your safety, you have to treat everyone like they might hurt you, and if you do get hurt people will blame you for existing

Admittedly it's difficult to tell tone in text, but imo you showed that you don't understand "being female" and that it involves a lot of "possibly life-threatening" events.

It does?! You realise men are by far the greater victims of violence, much more likely to take on dangerous jobs in the military and rescue services and much more likely to die at work generally?
