She was speaking of the 'brainwashing' of women. I was giving a further example of how the patriarchy has brainwashed many women, though not in the subject of imposed gender norms.

Are women so weak that they get so easily brainwashed? Some women are pro-life, some are pro-choice. I think they should both be welcome at women's marches because they are women, right? Women don't need to all think the same. But what does the patriarchy have to do with this?

Women aren't weak by any means! It's taken decades for women to somehow decide that a tool for male freedom from consequence/responsibility is a means of female empowerment. That we can't be *women*, and all that entails, but must be more like *men* in order to have power.
