Ha! My daughter pointed out that his tendency to steal teabags from the bin and suck them is a sure sign he identifies as British. However, we also considered his lack of reserve & belief that everyone wants to be his friend as distinctly American. :-p https://twitter.com/Gil_Ant/status/957602017584799744 …

Hehe. I haven't been rude to Americans for ages. It makes a nice change from insulting the French. It's difficult to out-insult the French. They built a whole culture around it. Americans mostly defend their honour with pictures of eagles and profanity which is always fun.

I am going to visit America for the first time soon. I'm very excited. Details to follow.

If he's a Labrador wouldn't he be Canadian though? Has he ever showed any inclination toward being apologetic?
#ThePlotThickens -
Yes, he has! But that is also British. The Canadians like to pretend they have the upper hand on being apologetic but they are novices.

I know us Canadians are novices at apologizing, and we're sorry about that.

Strictly speaking, as a Labrador, he's Canadian, which means he's not eager to introduce himself, he's just eager to tell you he's not American. Somewhere there's a Maple Leaf on him.
