I am one of four. My parents really put their foot down if any of us behaved like this, however. Usually by ignoring so the moaning wasn’t rewarded, but occasionally more directly.

One thing my parents - especially my dad - instilled (and modelled): never try to get what you want or win an argument by shouting.
-
My mother was very shouty. My father and I very quiet. I'd find it hard to say I got my values from either of them tho. Maybe an amalgamation.
-
I understand my mother was shouty when my parents first married; I never saw this, however. It’s a function of class I suspect - dad was posh, mum very much not.

Ha! Mine were the other way round! But my dad very dedicated to becoming upwardly mobile (which he succeeded at) and worked on his accent before having me so I am only aware of this because of his family. I suspect he was initially attracted to my mother for her accent!
-
My mother had a lovely accent - but only because she was Irish. My dad was Scottish, but from that class of Scottish people who don’t have Scottish accents. What can I say? Britain is weird.
-
My cousin. Cockney. I actually really like Cockney. My dad has eradicated nearly all of it. https://media.spotlight.com//metadata/videoforpublication?artistRef=M45346&pub=1&isIntro=false&artistName=%22PAUL+PARISER%22 …
