I was satisfied by pouring a drink over the man and pushing the trolley back at the woman. I think the law is there if I need it but I still retain the right to decide whether or not to call on it or deal with it myself (as long as I don't break the law)

Criminal acts I haven't reported - being pushed around by a group of teenage girls, being prevented from leaving the pub by a group of men, being flashed at twice by men, once by a woman, being groped by a man, having my hair pulled by a woman...

Being manhandled into a car against my will by an ex-boyfriend, being slapped in the face by an ex-girlfriend. These things were all illegal but all satisfactorily dealt with by me. Well, the men who wouldn't let us leave the pub were dealt with by other men but same principle.

I can't say I've ever felt it would be ok to slap a bum because I'm drunk, or felt that I should get away with it if I was/did. A woman who deliberately rams a trolley into your leg is assaulting you just as surely as if she'd punched your face. That's a violent assault.
-
Yes. You'd report these. I wouldn't. We disagree.
-
If the woman who rams your leg with her trolley broke your ankle, would you report it then?
-
So though her actions and intention to harm were the same, and her crime the same (though the law would differentiate the category by injury), you'd choose whether to report based on outcome for you. I can't make any sense of this. It shows a lack of civic responsibility at least
-
Well, we'll just have to disagree.

Fair enough.

So that explains why women are terrible drivers! They can't control the shopping trolleys (because they have a mind of their own) and then that extends to cars. This also explains why men have been immune to bad driving as they didn't typically do the shopping.

Oh, shut up.
