The men might be tainted, not the money that was to be used for things like dialysis machines. Fix the groping or fully inform hostesses of job role. Don't take money away from dangerously ill children. https://twitter.com/colinwiseman/status/956484529103036416 …

I'm just uncertain about the whole classification of 'groping' anyway - from the reporters own words, it was 'touching hands, belly and back' - no sexual assault of any kind, she merely hints at 'touching bums' but not explicitly. Distasteful objectification sure, but criminal?

That would be criminal behavior, no? Shouldn't the police be investigating if so? That's a pretty serious allegation.

But they police haven't been called. Why? I think it's pretty obvious. This is all about a journalist making a name for herself and nothing about sexual assault. Ms Marriage is suddenly hot property, GSOH is out half a million quid & none of the accused face any real consequence

I don't know. I've never called the police when I've been groped or flashed at. Seems minor. Enough to pour drink on head, tell people to fuck off, etc.

Isn't this a very real problem? Why is there absolutely no focus on getting women to report these actual crimes, which often leads to the offender carrying out further, and in cases more serious, crimes with impunity? There is very real complicity here.

It depends whether they think it's worth reporting. Do men report every incident of mild assault that happens to them? Or do they mostly deal with it themselves?

Are we talking about what people should do, or actually do? Surely we have a civic responsibility to report crimes, especially if it seems likely the offence will be repeated. I don't know how it would feel to be a rape victim, who then discovers that the rapist raped again...
