Yes. The pressure not to acknowledge gender differences does come from a fear that to do so is to make women inferior. But this doesn't come from women generally. I'm sure a society which regarded this very negatively could have squashed it out of her & made her ashamed of it but we don't live in one. She has said she wishes there were more girls who shared her interests tho.

To have female friends, she needs to not talk about video games, programming, coding & the merits & flaws of various devices, consoles & software constantly & save this for online forums. That's doable.

From a biological fitness standpoint, if we're going to go there, being an attractive tech nerd is almost certainly an advantage. I doubt she'll lack for boyfriends and they'll probably be rich too. Sorry, but it's true.
