Yes. But it's also not the only way to get to truth, either. For instance, the legal system is also, at its core, a truth-finding institution, but the scientific method has no application there at all

The scientific method is the best way to get to truths regarding science - that is, facts about the nature of our physical universe. Some people fetishize it as the only way to know any truths. Not saying Christian's doing that, but the quoted tweet at least comes close

Yes, science is the way to know truths. If there are any beyond the physical universe, we cannot know them. Doesn't matter too much as this is where we live.
