Everything was much simpler when I spent my time criticising religion. Few religious people followed me. Then I gradually started to talk much more about feminism & postmodernism that & acquired some religious followers. Now when I mention religion, they're all:pic.twitter.com/4XdhYEEx9g

Do you and I have any actual disagreements that you can think of? Besides about tea and the abomination that is milk/cream.

You are less forgiving of emotionality than me. I can set aside unreason and expressions of frustration or sarcastic humour sometimes when you can't.

Or when I don't.. I think I can; I'm just more impulsive and less introspective sometimes than other times. But can you think of any propositions about which you and I disagree? I was thinking there were at least a couple but I can't think of anything specific now.

Maybe whether it's essential for Muslim reformers to address the epistemology of faith.

Oh ya! Maybe that's where I got the feeling. I think my position on that is pretty nuanced. In a nutshell, I think it's not essential (or even possible) but that the fact that they can't address it, or have sound epistemology is a liability and Atheists should challenge them imo.

Yeah, that's where we differ. Now. I think atheists should leave it alone right now. Focus more on mutual support and bridge building.

I have more arguments why I think that's not quite right which I think might actually sway you but I know you're being bombarded with dissent and vileness lately. If you get bored sometime, though, I'd love to discuss it in more depth.

It would be nice if I could find one thing we disagree on. Would be a nice change of pace. Puns & dadjokes is the only thing I can think of. I don't think you're making an effort tbh.

I’ve disagreed with Helen twice and both times the convo lasted until 5am and she got rather upset with me. 😐

I remember having that surprising epiphany sometime early 2017 that there is an ironic and fairly strong alliance between the religious right and the secular/liberal voices critiquing poststructuralism and third wave fem
