I find this idea that I have a platform because of my privileged identity as a cis white woman and that I abuse it by sharing my own ideas from it very odd indeed.

I actually see that a lot when people refer to f.e. popular YouTubers: "They have to be responsible with their platform!". "Platform" is a metaphor for free speech. I may be stretching here, but using platform not audience could be a tactic to make arguments against free speech.

It would not infringe on free speech rights if you were made to put a disclaimer in your arguments like "You should not listen to me, because [identity list]." Put the burden on the audience, not the speaker. That would still be stupid, but at least not an infringement.pic.twitter.com/UKhoiQH0LR
