No, they're not. Just leave trans people alone.

We have spheres in which we have to interact tho—government, school, the workplace, public spaces, and gender comes up there. It does. Im also taken aback that youre directing "Leave trans people alone" at me of all ppl. Guess I'll just stop being supportive of trans ppl then…

Yes, it does. You can't avoid trans people. But you don't have to agree with anything you don't agree with. I'm not directing it at you! That was stating the same general rule as for gay people. I have no reason to think you're not supportive of trans people.

I was aware I was writing a dicey set of ideas that'd shade me as anti-trans to ppl who didn't know me I was trying to lay bare the dynamics at play, and that a more connective/positive approach could be demonstrated as empirically effective compared to moralizing/society-hating

I will say those who don't "leave trans people alone" think, for instance, that preschool or elementary-aged transitioning is abusive to children who can't grasp the gravity of what could merely be caprice Hell, even "anti-gay" ppl have always been trying to save me and soul! 😜

Yeah, well, that isn't really leaving them alone.

It's helping them, supposedly, intervening rather than standing by while wrong is done unto the children. Kinda shows how the concept of "abuse" or "care" can easily be abused, or a least politically weaponized.

The anti-trans advocacy mindset sees having minors transition as abuse. Abuse dictates that you are compelled to step in.

Yes, but having minors transition isn't leaving them alone anyway.
