Well, you can either give up or keep trying to make the world a better place. Ideas change all the time. The last fifty years has seen unprecedented advances for racial/gender/LGBT equality. Your call, tho. https://twitter.com/Eidotheia/status/950022166615134210 …

Those “advances” came due to the RISE of racial and ethnic tribalism. Social justice and progressivism directly and purposely encourage racial tribalism. Liberalism did not stop it. How will liberalism stop tribalism?

More tribalism is what led to more egalitarianism. Am I reading this correctly?

No, more tribalism led to social justice. Social justice is not equality or egalitarianism. It’s “justice”. It’s about righting perceived wrongs to racial groups. It emphasizes race, specifically, and encourages “poc” to think about themselves as a racial group. Tribalism.

Ah, I see what you’re getting at. I disagree tho. MLK was on the right track, and we made some progress towards abandoning the identity game. Yes, the SJ types have dragged us back. But progress for a while came from ignoring identity in favor of humanity.

MLK advocated a liberal approach: color blindedness. That is directly opposite of the modern left and progressivism.

Yes. So we need to get back to liberalism.
