No, I'm not! I advocate for greater trans acceptance. I'm arguing that forcing people to accept trans identity in their speech is illiberal. In the same way, I support same-sex marriage but would oppose forcing people to express support for it. This really isn't hard. https://twitter.com/NSMike1/status/949872923413766144 …

We have spheres in which we have to interact tho—government, school, the workplace, public spaces, and gender comes up there. It does. Im also taken aback that youre directing "Leave trans people alone" at me of all ppl. Guess I'll just stop being supportive of trans ppl then…
-
Yes, it does. You can't avoid trans people. But you don't have to agree with anything you don't agree with. I'm not directing it at you! That was stating the same general rule as for gay people. I have no reason to think you're not supportive of trans people.

I may have missed some of your tweets. Came back to hundreds.

I was aware I was writing a dicey set of ideas that'd shade me as anti-trans to ppl who didn't know me I was trying to lay bare the dynamics at play, and that a more connective/positive approach could be demonstrated as empirically effective compared to moralizing/society-hating

OK. Sorry, I think I've missed it. Deluged by loons and skimming.
