I'm afraid we have to allow people to be wrong. We cannot force them to recognise trans identity. The best we can do is support the science which makes it harder and harder to deny & argue for liberal values of live & let live. https://twitter.com/AlexCercone/status/949711095576563712 …

Have you gotten any positive feedback from trans people about this? I'm asking because while I have found some sane looking trans ppl on Twitter it seems to me that the discourse is still dominated by the lunatic fringe.
-
The thing is that most trans people don't want to be 'out' as trans. They just want to be accepted as their gender. But yes, some.

Understandable. Personally, I do try to perceive trans ppl as their gender as much as possible but in return I want them to acknowledge biological reality in situations where it matters.

Yes I did! Excellent piece. I want to hand it out to every hardcore lunatic trans-activist and anti-trans people alike.

I don't mind trans people having human rights. That's perfectly great. What gets me is when they insist that I sincerely regard someone with a deep voice and square jaw as an actual woman. Respect is one thing, self brainwashing is an entirely different issue.
