This might be valid if everyone were afforded the same opportunities and treated equally regardless of personal wealth, but as we all know that’s not how it works. In practice bougie individualists are allowed to pursue their dreams while the rest of us struggle to survive.

Those bearing the hammer & sickle would never have expansionist aspirations, instigating them through regime change, military occupations and genocide via artificial famine. Would they?

Lol! Collectivism strengthens the individual, cooperation makes us stronger and there is no conflict with personal ambitions
-
Collectivism defined puts the group over the individuals in the group. "Cooperation" is implicitly individualism. Individualism and working together aren't at odds. Collectivism, however, is at odds with cooperation and personal ambition.
-
No it isn't. Collectivism is open and democratic - everybody benefits. We need to liberate ourselves from the evils of Liberalism and recognise the common good. One mans 'freedom' is another's slavery.
-
Look up the definition of collectivism. What you believe is why you're a collectivist, but it's not collectivism.
-
it's nothing to do with belief
-
It does if you're willfully ignore the definitions of collectivism in favor of ascribing your motivations ("everybody benefits") to it.
-
why wouldn't everybody benefit from it?
-
Waiting until *everybody* benefits is not collectivism, that's individualism. Collectivism is saying the group's interest outweighs individual interests. You're describing politics with no tradeoffs which is either hopelessly naive or outright bad faith.
