Yes, but it's humans who have this morality. Other conscious animals on this planet don't. It's quite possible that life elsewhere does not and that AIs would not. Therefore, not universal. Human.

There might be life somewhere with a fuller understanding of morality than us. Increase wellbeing and avoid suffering is very basic. If we get to a stage where we have achieved that, we might go further too.

Yes and a society in which conscious beings had evolved without suffering or pleasure in the sense that we know them could exist and would found its morality differently if it had one. I remember thinking this when reading about the possibility of a metal based lifeform.
