Well, it seems I can sleep for 8 hours in every 24 and wake up refreshed and energised and headache free but only if I do this from 5AM to 1PM. This is not practical. I have a child to see off to school and doggies to walk & appointments and shit.

Note to self. Don't message physicist friends at work to whine abt this. Him: "Excuse me while I interrupt my programming of a quantum mechanics simulation in 100s of dimensions to sympathise with you about having to type in a password every so often."

OK, OK. Time to stop moaning about how much I have to do and how late I am getting started and actually do it. See you all later.

My advice: Check Whatsapp on your computer (just download and install the application), make some tea, and get to work. Once you’ve caught up and feel less flustered, you can search for the missing phone again.

I have now found my phone!

Excellent! You may want to consider setting up a dedicated charging station for your phone with some kind of visual cue, like a brightly-colored sticky note, to remind you to charge it and/or leave it there. It really works for me.
-
A wireless charging setup could also be an option, if your phone supports it. Then you just have to set it on the charging pad on your desk, and it'll always be in the same place and charged.

You mean you do all this tweeting on your computer?
-
Yes. I wouldn't do it if I had to tap at a bloody screen.
-
Well wipe the dang screen off!
