Well, it seems I can sleep for 8 hours in every 24 and wake up refreshed and energised and headache free but only if I do this from 5AM to 1PM. This is not practical. I have a child to see off to school and doggies to walk & appointments and shit.

Also, I decided to actually get a grown-up expensive phone for Christmas seeing that I am actually a grown-up & people need me to be contactable on various apps and whilst out & shit but I have already lost it. FFS. Maybe I am not a grown up.

So now I am 5 HOURS LATE on starting my daily work schedule but have received a message that I need to check whatsapp which means I have to waste more time trying to find my phone which I can't just call because it's out of charge coz I don't charge it coz I hate phones.

Note to self. Don't message physicist friends at work to whine abt this. Him: "Excuse me while I interrupt my programming of a quantum mechanics simulation in 100s of dimensions to sympathise with you about having to type in a password every so often."

OK, OK. Time to stop moaning about how much I have to do and how late I am getting started and actually do it. See you all later.

I put myself to sleep by attempting to read about quantum mechanics, and usually after 10-15 minutes my brain in desperation chooses sleep over torture. The downside is I will eventually understand quantum theory.

Yup. Been off uni for 3 weeks now, and I've reverted to my natural sleep pattern of 2-3 to 10-11. Have been like this since my teens, and am nearly 42 now, so I don't see myself changing.

I read something like this about teenagers lately, why a later schoolday would help them be more productive. It's been carried out in certain Scandinavian countries and found to work.
