Psychologists, I would really like to understand why I, someone generally regarded as exceptionally patient, become so immediately and furiously angry with people being blithely incoherent. Why should it matter when I could just ignore them?

I am very patient with people who are having genuine difficulty explaining their point. It's the people who don't even try to make sense. The people who don't see making sense as a prerequisite to a conversation. They think it's going just fine even tho they're not making any.

Maybe they think the connections in their head are valid and they don’t understand why you don’t see them.

I think they do and I'm infuriated that I can't see them.

Yeah, this happens to me quite often, where I see connections that either other people dont see, or sometimes arent even there.

I think you somehow empathize with the people you consider earnestly trying and become impatient with those you think don’t bother trying to make sense. So it boils down to what you consider the intention to be. And
@JenandZen may be right. They may be earnest also. Who knows.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

I think they probably are. I get frustrated with them in the same way as with a computer that doesn't work properly. This, Is. Not. How. This. Works!

Some peoples’ minds proceed logically from A to B to C. Other peoples’ brains are chaotic hornet’s nests that get from A to B via tan-cos-x!
