We (nearly) all want to remove wrongdoers from society and support victims but we do need to establish wrongdoing and victimhood first. A defence of this should in no way be interpreted as being soft on dangerous criminals or unsympathetic to victims.

I understand the urge to forego due process in rape cases. When the case of someone I love could not be prosecuted because there were no witnesses and she had no injuries and there would have been reasonable doubt, I wanted to kill him with my bare hands.

It is awful that rape is something which is hard to prove because it almost never happens in front of people and often doesn't leave evidence which can be distinguished from consensual sex. The solution can't be to do away with the requirement for evidence though.
