To suggest that women always operate on feelings rather than facts is a longstanding myth which has been used to keep women out of positions of responsibility. Not suggesting this is

I would not say 'I don't care about your feelings' but 'Your feelings are less relevant than the facts' is often appropriate & I have said variants of this to many men because arguing from feelings and arguing from evidence is a thing that happens a lot & is not gendered.

I've also had to argue that feelings are more relevant than facts in some contexts. These include who people are sexually attracted to, whether or not an individual should have children & whether or not they should have/stay in a relationship . Feelings on these issues matter.

Not all but most of my feelings, like my memories, don't deserve primacy as they are transient and unreliable. Can be quite upset about something and an hour later meh. Short emotional attention span? Meanwhile reality chugs along, indifferent.

It depends entirely on what it is. Should our feelings of attraction & love take precedence over facts on who we should date. Absolutely. You can tell someone they shld be attracted to the opposite sex because that is how the species perpetuates itself. Won't make any difference

You can tell women they should have children for various factual reasons. If they don't like children & don't want children, they shldn't have them. You could also tell one she shld have an abortion for factual reasons but the emotional harm this wld do if she wants that baby...
