I, as much as any, don't want there to be a big deal about her being a woman, but it wasn't the "Feminists" who started this. It was Jim from the Daily Mail.

I get that it was meant to be a joke, and you know me! I'm hardly a sensitive bloke. But the joke he made would only work if it was only her that crashed the Tardis. They all crash it on regeneration! It just wasn't even funny.
