Why there is something rather than nothing? To believe "no reason" is a leap of faith.https://twitter.com/DavidHarleyBoyd/status/945271746709598208 …
Yes, they do. Yahweh. The reason for the universe is unknown but I'm not sure how you can claim physics won't be the way it is discovered. It's done best so far. Taken us back to the expansion of the universe.

No, they don’t. Yahweh is not a god but God, Being itself. It is only due to the the limitations of language that people, absent a close reading of the texts, get the false impression that God is a being among other beings.
-
This is meaningless verbiage until there is some evidence of God. Also, that one appears to be an amalgamation of three gods.
-
There is sufficient evidence for faith in God, and a Trinitarian ontology. In fact, both Catholic and Tibetan Buddhist traditions have similar perspectives. But neither, would constitute knowledge from the liberal enlightenment point of view.
-
Well, no. It's all a bit embarrassing really. Makes me despair of humanity too sometimes but then I see religious people being perfectly reasonable in other areas so I try to remain optimistic.
-
I get and share your concerns and cautious optimism. I’m just on the side of faith AND the liberal enlightenment.
