I still feel there is no divide wider than that between those who have inherited enough capital so they don’t have to work, and those who do.

I do too. I had to stop work when I got ill but because of my inheritance and an income from dividends of shares my father put in my name, we manage just fine. Wouldn't be the case for someone without this good fortune.
-
I'm not rich by any means but I get an average income without working simply because my father was able to set this up for me in case of my finding myself in a situation where I couldn't work. I will do the same for my daughter.
-
You’re doing what is natural for anyone who wants to help their children, as your father did. No-one reason should have any grounds to object to that. Point is to have measures to help those whose parents simply don’t have the resources to do so.

Yes, exactly. Strong welfare safety net.

And old-fashioned ideas such as providing affordable housing for all, compared to the prohibitive housing market we now have.

Intersectionality is another form of hierarchy that places you on the top based on the immutable characteristics you may have. It's not equality by any stretch of imagination. It takes zero intellectual effort and leaves the person with an overinflated sense of moral superiority.

well, yes - if they paid attention to class than a lot of them would have to admit they’re hideously privileged, and then they’d never win a gold medal in the oppression olympics.

I see bashing of lower classes all the time in left circles "Trailer park trash" is one insult I said to one: Nothing wrong with trailer parks Some of the nastiest people are from wealthy neighborhoods

YES! YES! YES!

Sorry, but when I see people who aren't white, have a way better education than me, and their family is way better off than mine was, complaining about my privilege... Hmm really...

YES. I've insisted for years that most (if not all) racism and gender-bias is actually rooted in class envy -- the worry the "other" group is doing better than one's own and/or getting special privileges. Nobody really gives a toss about anyone's melanin levels.

Any talk of "privilege" that doesn't include class is ridiculous.

Finally, someone said it. The only (actual, practical) privilege in life is money.

It always made me wonder if sj was grown in a lab, for precisely that reason.

I would add 'upbringing' to the list. The software programs (for the mind) made available to you as a kid can give you a leg up or down.
-
Also, 'physical attractiveness' by prevailing standards.
-
It's a useful list if you keep in mind that the ranking is conditional to the situation. There is no single function to compute degree of disadvantage/advantage. And a good explanation (not a simple function) is ultimately what's needed.
