Seriously does anyone have anything? I still don't really know what to make of it. The left thinks it's evil and the centrists just sort of ignore it? @hbdchick @Halalcoholism @HPluckrose @BDSixsmith @salonium @idkwhototag @Sorry

I’m not down with that shit at all, but I don’t think it should be banned. (Didn’t listen the whole way through tho)

What's ur reasoning tho? He says at the end 'how would you feel if Korea was getting swamped by white people' etc. People seem to have conflicting intuitions about it.

What I think about Korea is less important than what Koreans think. I certainly think the public has a right to determine what immigration policy they get. Personally I don’t care what ethnic makeup my country (🇦🇺) has, so long as it retains its values & way of life.

So if a white majority county like Aus or US decides to stay white majority forever and stop all non-white immigration just cos they're non-white, is that okay?

They always mention Israel too, so is it acceptable for a state to be founded on white identity (leaving aside questions of logistics)?

It's stupid & a really bad basis for ethics. You say centrists are silent on this - & I have asked you to stop messaging me about it - & it's because there is no ethical content. Can democratic nations opt to restrict immigration on value-free characteristics? Yes. Shld they? No.

You try to make this very complicated when it is very simple for anyone who is liberal in the broadest sense - it is ethical & reasonable to evaluate people on their beliefs, values, actions, not their gender, race, skin colour because the former have ethical significance,

Can a democracy choose to evaluate people on immutable characteristics? Yes. They can ban a certain skin colour, height, nose shape, foot size. It would be stupid and unethical but they can. I have no interest in explaining why values matter & melanin doesn't, if you don't see it

Agree it's unethical on individual level, but society wide—you can't have everyone, if its not violent why is it wrong to choose based on superficial preferences?

You can always bite the bullet and say it would be okay if Japan took in a million Mexicans and Korea took in a million Africans etc, but I think many people across the political spectrum would find this suspect — not just the alt right.

If they didn't want to do it JUST COS I don't think many people would call them racist, for instance.
