And you unleashed your feelings on two other people who happen to care about you, thus displaying to your child that this is not only acceptable but normal behavior. This was kind of my point, you're teaching her this, like you were taught. Autopilot.
-
It is normal behaviour and acceptable behaviour. As she goes through life and makes relationships, she will find that people get irritable with each other. She'll probably snap at her husband and he at her & then they'll hug and make-up. She won't fall apart when this happens.
-
But wouldn't it be better if you hurt your spouse, or if she hurt her (future) spouse fewer times & not over the piddly crap?
-
Fuckups happen. Snapping at people happens. It's life. I think that the best attitude to have if that happens is to show how to own up and how to sincerely apologise and how to genuinly try to do better.
-
Damn straight, that's the only way to be. Just try to do better next time, try not to make the same mistake.
