I've gotten all of my kids into art. I encourage them to draw their feelings out. For my teenager, she draws pages of angry, hateful, damaging things, then we burn those pages on the back patio. She finds it cathartic.

Art is one of the things that makes my daughter angry because she has fine motor skills problems. But she's very rarely angry. Much like her father. Easy-going personality. Some teenage moodiness now.

There are so many different types of art, and many don't require fine motor skills, like digital art. I really am serious. There is an art form out there for her, something creative she can feel good about being good at.

She's good at computer programming and maths. She feels good about this. She doesn't have to enjoy art.

I'm simply saying that her motor skills don't have to be an impediment to her getting into art. That's all.
