Do British blue collar workers drink tea? Hard to imagine a bunch of bearded roughnecks, full of testosterone, shut down their heavy equipment, hang up their hard hats, pull off their well worn gloves, kick open the break room door and sit down for a wee spot of tea.

The yuppies are more likely to drink coffee and the hipsters to drink herbal muck. The working class are most faithful of all in their drinking of tea. You will find this educational video informative.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5XX9LX2es4 …

I never realized how important tea was. 1967 while in London I saw a street work crew with a man whose full time job was to tend a coal fire & brew tea. I wonder if it is still like that today.

I don't think so but if a crew is working in your street, you are honour-bound to bring them tea at regular intervals. Because otherwise they could die.

Would the tea be covered by your national health insurance? Not having tea could be a health emergency
