Do British blue collar workers drink tea? Hard to imagine a bunch of bearded roughnecks, full of testosterone, shut down their heavy equipment, hang up their hard hats, pull off their well worn gloves, kick open the break room door and sit down for a wee spot of tea.

The yuppies are more likely to drink coffee and the hipsters to drink herbal muck. The working class are most faithful of all in their drinking of tea. You will find this educational video informative.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5XX9LX2es4 …

The builders tea ad looks more like coffee than tea. Since it’s 1:35 here it’s an hour past tea time in London I am still motivated to have tea on this windy damp day. Off to put the kettle on

Tea time is between 3 and 5. However, you should also have tea at lunchtime so that's just fine. Good work.

In fairness to the English, the French drink coffee all day long, and get even less done.

If you want to get back on the good side of a brit, just point out the French are even worse. Good job.

Clearly it's true, what type of society takes a 2 hour lunch break and is not labelled lazy ? They stop working when it rains, even when they work indoors !

Not at all, I love learning about British culture and how it differs from American. At my job (train driver) our builders tea is black coffee, the stronger the better. I do enjoy tea at home, but it's a relaxing ritual. And I learn the proper way to make it from you, so thanks!

I need tea now. I do have dainty, old china, tea leaves and a china pot to brew it in, but I'm bunging a Typhoo in a cup and smushing it until the tannin starts sticking to the spoon and drinking that while it's still a bit too hot. You betcha.
