Personally, I'd punch him in the mouth, report him to HR and tell everyone in his circle what he had done.

Seems a bit excessive. I settled for pouring my drink over the man who did it to me and the man I did it to laughed and offered me a drink. I assumed he'd appreciate it but I shouldn't have done. He still would have been wrong to punch me tho.

Of course. There is help for this though. It would be a shame to encourage them to fail to recover from such a thing. Especially as it seems to be gendered. Men are assumed to be able to cope whilst women collapse and cease to function.
