Why do people keep saying this? How much more clearly could Damore have explained he was *not* saying this? He even included a diagram of overlapping distributions to make it easier for the hard of thinking. https://twitter.com/tomcoates/status/941861627103547392 …

I linked him to my thread from back in August where I explained this point, and I was immediately blocked for my trouble.https://twitter.com/M_Methuselah/status/941912553495650304 …

Not even close. I had to make an entire thread explaining how this is a mischaracterization, because people like you continue to deliberately misconstrue the actual arguments. https://twitter.com/M_Methuselah/status/894393673387061249 … https://twitter.com/tomcoates/status/941861627103547392 …

It's truly mind boggling. Statistics need taught alongside algebra in grade school. They go together anyway.

Some people can’t understand group vs individual differences. Others have the capacity but are ideologically bound to deny group differences. They confuse the idea that people deserve equal rights with the idea that all people are all equivalent aside from privilege and power

Ideologues only read what supports the ideas they already have in mind. If a biased source like gizmodo told them he wants to kill trans&gay, no matter what other sources you link them, even Damores original script, they'd not click on it to learn the truth. Seen it often enough.

Because it is inconvenient to their narrative of oppression. Hell, reality itself is inconvenient to them, which is why they play language games and police thoughts to bend it to their will.

And that graph was intended to highlight *one area* of ability Funnilly, I imagine that Tom believes in lots of ways that women are superior, yet somehow they can never be *less* in any small area

Which is funny if you have a closer look; he clearly thinks women are more fragile and weaker - i.e., inferior - when it comes to qualities like resilience.
