Oh, ffs. I've now been asked: Are you saying kids who get bullied or tortured by cis people for not conforming to gender norms aren’t hurt by “more common” expressions? How do I respond to that? I don't, do I? Ridiculous people.

1st, this woman is an idiot: idea that her POVs are privileged b/c of her status as an oppressed person = ridiculous. 2nd, she knows nothing about men. 3rd, the label "cis" should never hv happened! For an organism not to change gender is the statistical norm by a vast margin. >

That's not a knock on trans ppl, but it's absurd to maintain cis/trans are groups on an equal (functional) footing, like blacks/whites/Asians. I may be wrong but TG/TS is something that's existed during a very small slice of human history; "cis" is, again, just what nature does.>

Which - AGAIN - is not a value-judgement. While same-sex attraction/behavior has been around for a gazillion years, other species, etc. etc. All of which makes it odd trans activists so much more strident than gay activists... #quandary

TBH I'd recommend staying off trans topics on facebook lest you end up arguing with friends & family about social constructs except none of them even know what social constructionism is...

“Men can’t have friendship because it’s too intimate.” They’re “bros” instead.... Brothers. So much less intimate. 🙄 Spoken like someone who clearly spends little or no time with men.
