Oh, ffs. I've now been asked: Are you saying kids who get bullied or tortured by cis people for not conforming to gender norms aren’t hurt by “more common” expressions? How do I respond to that? I don't, do I? Ridiculous people.

It seems you've reached the apex of this conversation. Right now, you've maintained the advantage. Any further arguments will descend down the other side into your opponent's advantage, as the premise becomes increasingly absurd.

Don’t. Anything you’d say would be twisted even more. It’s better to leave it, no matter if they think they “won” or “silence is agreement” or whatever. You can’t win with them.

Whether they're "hurt" by common expressions isn't relevant, facts don't care about feelings. Portraying the norm for behaviour as normal isn't an attack against them, but leftist feel it is because they want all thoughts and actions to be equal, except ones they don't like...

I found this video surprisingly disarming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWM2E9oHlhA … basically: "Forget the labels, and don't be a dick to people"

Even if you gave them everything they wanted, it wouldn't be enough, they want the whole of society to think like they do.

Kids who get tortured are probably more hurt by the torture than by more common expressions. Just a guess, what do I know.
