It's simply not going to work, trying to get rid of gender. Firstly, because so much of it is innate. Secondly, because people like it. They like being masculine or feminine and they're attracted to those qualities in other people.

Also, to be trans and to claim that gender is a social construct is very much like shooting yourself in the foot. You yourself are evidence against this. Unless you are somehow immune from society.

Oh, ffs. I've now been asked: Are you saying kids who get bullied or tortured by cis people for not conforming to gender norms aren’t hurt by “more common” expressions? How do I respond to that? I don't, do I? Ridiculous people.

Some people want to be understood and to understand others; some would rather feel superior even though the only way they know how to do that is to put others down. Not everyone comes to the table to communicate honestly. Goes to show jerks come in all shapes and identities.pic.twitter.com/A7FsQZL0GL

Using cissplaining non ironically may be the most gender obsessed word in the English language. Making probabilistic categories mindlessly seems like the opposite of obsession. Just a way to move through the world without too much distraction.

hate the word cis, hate the presumption that I can be labeled with one look. Undercut haircuts actually come from 1939-44, Nazi

my older friend said they reminded her of the haircuts on the brownshirts in Germany before the war

I mean transgender and non-binary gender are such a small portion of the population so things like "is the baby a boy or a girl?" Are just statistically relevant Also things like "women aren't into tech" is just sexism. Notsomuch confirming to binary gender system

So, she notices people struggle with her pronouns and her reaction is "they want to uphold the status quo"? Clearly delusional and paranoid. Waste of time and effort.

I'm sad they don't see how "bros" and friendship are the same thing. Close male friendship bonds are very much like kinship bonds. Before it was this snickering term, bro was quite revealing of how men usually bond.

Can you ask her to send me the list of words we're allowed to say? It's not society's job to ensure that things are at xer comfort level.
