Something went wrong in that first bit. I disagree that children are worse off. I think most parents prioritise them when they make their decisions.

If I didn't work, I would probably have become depressed, When my daughter 2.5, I started feeling that way. This wouldn't have been good for her. Also, we'd not have a house with a garden in a nice area by a good school & savings for her future.
