It's better to go to the source. Eg, my daughter's school has a special literacy programme for boys because they're falling behind. Its working. I don't think it's sexist because it addresses an imbalance.
No, I say that trying to promote one race's interests above another's is. I'm not a fan of affirmative action but where it is trying to even up an imbalance, this is not promoting one race above another.
