You could understand it if it were the people who'd recently emigrated from hot countries but no. They just tend to get on with it. Its the people who have lived here always and really have no business being so amazed & excited/panicked. XD

I heard that in countries, where it snows every year or often, and where the snowfall is high, they know how to prepare for snow. In the UK, it's a poor strategy to invest too much in dealing with snow, they probably use prediction to work out how much grit to buy etc?

They always get it wrong! Nearly every year local councils apologise for having insufficient grit because they weren't expecting snow. Why not? It snows nearly every year.
