This is true. Having a tan is a sign of wealth now because it means you can afford to go outside, rather than being chained to a cubicle

Just as light skin can mean you needn’t go out and work the fields in th sun? Could be same reason. Problem is the studies can’t be replicated & we don’t know motivations.

Yeah, I'm just wondering if the findings don't mean what they think it means. Maybe humans subconsciously associate being pale w babies?

Could be...maybe the association even differs per country.

I think the test also missed the important fact that all people see beauty and wealth as "good" as opposed to people in rougher clothes

I’m uncertain how much the test is used in each country. Interesting question tho. Will look it up. But test is used worldwide. Which I consider a problem.
