Hey Twitter, I got very fat after a stroke which disabled me & required me to take meds which made me permanently ravenous. I've lost 34 lbs since coming off them, but now I need to really focus on getting back to normal. I can do this. I will post my progress even Friday.

Hold me accountable, tweeps. I was always slim but right now I'm morbidly obese & need to fix this. I will now do so. Encourage me & if I don't report weight-loss one Friday, demand an explanation. I must do this,

You were able to do all that writing after a stroke? You’re amazing. You can do this.

It affected my vision and balance by damaging the nerves to my eye and ear so I am fine when sitting down. :)

Have you heard of "intermittent fasting"? I've been reading up on it and thinking of giving it a try myself. I've heard lots of rumblings about fasting and weight loss. With mental clarity, and longer life to boot!

Yes but I won't stick to this. Low calorie meals are best for me.

It’s not about dieting. Diets don’t work. It’s about a permanent change of lifestyle. I did it after menopause caused weight gain. Combo of banning empty carbs + alcohol and daily exercise

Well, that's what I mean by a diet. I'm going to change my diet in a way that will make me lose weight.

Good luck. But don’t worry if loss isn’t steady and doesn’t seem to relate to effort. U might stick for a bit then suddenly lose again. Strangely and frustratingly unscientific.

I started October 30 at 310. This mornings weight 288. Lots of liquid weight in the first two weeks. Only 93 lbs to go. Hopefully by next Xmas. Try My Fitness Pal if you are of a mind.
